Not gonna lie, but that made me giggle.

Very nice, though 🙂 I don’t usually wear too much make up. I guess I’m worried about looking stupid, haha. But I am wanting to get in touch with my girly side, so your tips are helpful 🙂 And no worries, if I can understand your ramblings, I’m sure others are able to, as well.

For your first vlog that was prettyyyyyyy damn awesome Ashley! It came across like you’d done video blogs a few times before so thumbs up 🙂

Your rambling… keep it! Haha makes it alot more fun and shows how friendly you are. That and your funny with it “I don’t want it to look like a drag queen” hahaha. Think I established you love the word ‘Pop’ too 😛

As for the makeup, you made it look so simple and easy I think i’m gunna have to have a play with this because that was pretty awesome work. The end result was super pretty too. Love Love Love! -Especially the fact you used glitter. Glitter is the best thing ever, i’m just sayin’!

Thanks for starting to do these! Very helpful and I know some friends have tried the smokey eye before but couldnt get it right so i’ll be passing this along to them too 🙂

    P.s – Love your nails haha 😀

LOVED your first vlog Ashley, you make it look so easy, and I now know where i’ve been going wrong when doing the smokey eye!!

I feel a make-up shopping trip coming on!!! =D I need new brushes and new colours, I usually only stick to the browns and naturals as a safe bet. Loved the end result, it looked so cute, especially with that hint of glitter, it looked real subtle but super cute =D

Look forward to more vlogs from the BEST make-up artist EVER!!!

OH! What make was that lip gloss you used? Ive been looking for one that colour for a looooong time.

Thanks Ashley, keep it up =D

    greaaaaat first vlog… kinda first & 2nd 😉 haha.
you’re so clever it’s not fair, haha! but somehow, even though i don’t think i’m that clever; i don’t tend to pick up on things i’m taught in school for example, unless they interest me. this made PERFECT sense to me 🙂 i’m gonna try it out when i next go out 🙂
keeeeep the vlog’s comin’! i loved this 😀
    xxx

    PS. LOVED THE NAILS 😉

Well that was awesome! Very well done Ashley.

I learnt the whole, “darker shade on the outer lid” thing, the hard way. On a night out I had blended together black and gold, black being on the inner and gold on the outside. And my black eyeliner was a bit too heavy lol, so I ended up looking like a badger with a turn in my eye. Thank God not many pics were taken that night lol!

Also those Shadow Shields look awesome. I hope I can find them somewhere in Ireland, because thats a BIG problem of mine. I usually use toilet paper or tissues, but I end up with shadow covered fingers :S!

Also, probs seems stupid, but I never knew how to put liner on my upper lid, now I do lol, just pull back a bit! cool!

Thanks very much, your tips will come in very handy! :D! xx

Well as close to hot as I can get lol!! Thanks again! Definetly will be waiting patiently for more demonstrational makeup vlogs!!

    Ashley,

Great first vlog(s)! You’ll only get more comfortable with doing them as time goes on. You made the demo pretty simple and straightforward – and I really liked how you said that you could stop with the smoky eye at any time, depending on the look you’re going for and depending on the products you have (e.g. glitter liner optional). I hope to try this soon, and I hope it works out. BTW, what’s your take on primer potion – and would you suggest it for a smoky eye?

I’ve watched several eye make-up tutorials on youtube before, but I found them too confusing/complex – a lot of them would put on multiple colors (not really the look I’m going for at this point), and use tons of brushes that I don’t have or really need right now.

I know you’re more of a behind the scenes gal, so thanks for putting yourself out there and doing this vlog. I look forward to more of what you have to share. 🙂

Ashley those tips are GREAT I don’t usually use too much make-up, always afraid I’ll make a mess of it. watching you it looks so easy, an your so friendly. Can’t wait for the next vlogs.

Thanks Ashley, that was great for your 1st vlog, you’re a natural! I know now why you’re called a make up ARTIST, because it is an art, but you make it look so easy, so I guess I’ll have to try. I don’t know how you put that eye liner on your lower lid so fast, I always end up poking myself in the eye, then my eye starts watering, and everything messes up, lol.

I’ll be looking out for your other vlogs, so please keep them up 😀

  14. 14 Selena April 3, 2010 at 4:52 pm

First of all, thanks for starting your own blog. I’ve been reading the entries all along, but this will be my first time commenting, so with that being said…

You’ve done a really good job so far, and this set of vlogs, complete with a live demonstration, really illustrated the process well, making it easier to duplicate the look, as opposed to a written guide alone. I know you’re sort of camera-shy, but that didn’t hinder the quality. When it comes to the make-up you’re a pro, and the “rambling” just gave it more personality. 🙂

    YAY!

Awesome vlog, Ashley! You have such a beautiful face/features to put makeup on – it looks great on you. I’m going to try it – I usually end up looking like I’ve been hit in the face with a baseball bat, but we’ll see, haha. Can’t wait for the next one!

  16. 16 Lucy April 3, 2010 at 9:13 pm

That was great Ashley! and don’t appologise for your ramblings, it just shows how awesome you are 🙂

Can’t wait to try those tips out! 🙂

This was awesome, thanks. 🙂 I have the makeup applying skills of a two-year-old, but I want to try this out. I’m pretty sure it’ll look like I have two black eyes though, ha.
